topdeco
Just booked flights from Ireland and realised I am arriving in new york the week of the Marathon!! I expect hotels will be busy! Looking to stay for 6 nights. Any advice on what level of bidding might be successful? Looking for hotel around midtown and like everyone else a 4* for as little as possible! Would go for 3* in the right area. Ideally not spending not more than $200.00 per night. Is staying for 6 nights an advantage ? Any help would be most appreciated. Link to comment

thereuare
... but also comes with an additional cost, likely putting a 4* hotel out of your budget. We'll suggest a strategy for whatever you want to do, but let us know which midtown zones you're willing to bid... i'm assuming MTE, MTW, and UM/CPS are fine? What about MTS?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
topdeco
MTE, MTW, and UM/CPS are fine. Not too keen on MTS as would probably go for an apartment if i can't get the other areas. Ever heard of Oakwood.com by any chance and if so any recommendations?thanks for you help theruare. thereuare
Never heard of them, but renting an apartment can be hit or miss. As well, they don't appear to have a 'real time' inventory or rate system, so the rate ranges offered for your dates are not 'live' and may or may not be available for your dates. If you want to try for a 4* you have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTW...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* UM/CPS...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTE...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select MTW and MTE and re-bid zone2...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $180, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and UM/CPS...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select MTW and UM/CPS and re-bid zone2...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $180, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $185, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $190, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select MTW and MTE and UM/CPS and re-bid zone2...Bid $195, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $200.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
