Priceline Hotel: 3* Bakersfield Doubletree

Same day bid at 1PM, just one hour before early check-in. I probably bid a couple of dollars over what I could have gotten it for, but I didn't want to risk a rejection. Also, I was hoping for the Doubletree, and while I know it may not be logically sound, it seemed that people that bid $53 were getting the Four Points, and people that bid more than that were getting the Doubletree. My brother just picked up his kids at LAX after they traveled from Australia, and they are in need of a great pool, which I've heard the Doubletree has. I used the savingsbarn link.... :)

Thanks thereuare....Yes, they did indeed enjoy the pool...They swam, went for dinner, and then crashed VERY early........BTW, I heard from two people that the Basque Woolgrowers Restaurant is a good one for Bakersfield visitors.
