Priceline Hotel: 03/17/07-03/20/07

Hi, I am planning a trip to New York, dates as above.

For the time being I am interested only in MTW 4*, as there is quite a lot of time before I travel and this is my preferred location. I am willing to consider other areas once I have exhausted all options for this one area.

Is it too early to bid, as my trip is still 6 months away?

Looking at other sites current prices for my dates are:

Westin New York at Times Square $349

Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers $259

The Muse $349

Renaissance New York Times Square $349

My maximum bid at present is going to be $190. I do understand the rebid process.

Any help would be much appreciated.

My advice is to expand your horizons beyond MTW... MTE and UM/CPS are just as convenient to getting around the city and any amount extra that it will cost to stay in your "prefered zone of MTW" just isn't worth it; but it's your trip and you know your specific needs better than i do.

With the above noted, if you only want to bid MTW you have two re-bid zones at the 4* level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* MTW...

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $120.

If the above is rejected i would follow 24 hours later with the same as above, but raise each bid by $15 (so bidding $125, $130, $135).

I wouldn't bid more than $135 (maybe $140) this early before your stay.
