timstravel Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 $41..$42..$43..$44..$45..$46..$47..$48..$49... all rejected for a 3* or Resort propertyin the Tucson East or La Paloma - Ventana Canyon areas.Two years ago, I got the Hilton for less than $40 a night for the same dates.What will it take this time?P.S. I sure hope savingsbarn gets something for failed bids!
thereuare Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Hotel rates across the country are up substantially from two years ago... thru both 'traditional' and 'opaque' services.Rates at the Doubletree Reid Park are reasonable for these dates that i suspect you're not too far off... success under $60 seems reasonable.Plenty of time to continue to try and gradually increase. :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
