What are rates like in NYC MTW/MTE in late April/early May? Im starting to plan a trip early and would like to know how much you think i should roughly budget? Is it an expensive time of year. Obviously I am not going to start bidding on hotels at this time but will hopefully start around the end of jan. is this a good time to start in terms of leaving enough time?

In this forum (Priceline New York) and 'page back' you can see wins from April of last year. To quickly jump back multple pages, click the 'xx Pages' on the top left corner of the board and you can enter a number to jump back any number of pages. If you enter '16' or so that should take you about to the timeframe you're seeking.

Note that rates have been gradually increasing year-over-year due to the stronger hotel market, and this is especially true in NYC, so rates may even be a bit higher than you're seeing for last year at this time.

As far as "when to bid", i prefer to lowbid early rather than "Obviously I am not going to start bidding on hotels at this time...", which is discussed in further detail in the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ. Let us know once you're plans are firm and you want to begin bidding for this stay.
