Priceline Hotel: chicago 10/16/06

I'm trying to book a hotel and I've tried the loop and NMA 4star down to 2 1/2 star up to $129 and have received nothing. I'm aware of a 40000 person convention during the same time and was curious as to this being the only problem getting a hotel or if there is something else

A 40,000 person convention in Chicago will mean severly limited space and likely, little (if any) priceline inventory.

What's your budget max & would you be willing to commute into the city from one of the outlying areas?

max is 129 and we went ahead and just booked the belden stratford through priceline not naming own price just so that we know we have a hotel room
