Hi,

I am going to New York City from Toronto on the 09/04 - 09/07 and I would LOVE to stay at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson. I was there before during April 06 and I LOVED that hotel.

My problem is that I have been bidding up to $95.00 and it has not been working.

My budget for each night is $100/room and I wish to reserve 2 rooms. I was looking through Hotwire and I noticed that the hotel was going at $264.00 per night, making my bid impossible.

Is there any way I can get the Hyatt for less than $100.00 taxes and fees included during those dates?

I would not mind the Doubletree either, but preference is still the Hyatt.

Thanks so Much. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

It seems that the Hyatt is likely available within your price range for the first and last nites of your stay... not sure if you'd want to move everyday of your trip, or perhaps try to get they Hyatt for the first or last nite and then make other plans for the other two nites.

I don't mind splitting because we do plan on driving there, but just as long as I am able to stay in the jersey city area it will be great.

I was also thinking of the Courtyard Marriott at Jersey City, can a bid of $100.00/room including taxes and fees be possible at the Courtyard Marriott?

The most important thing would be for us to stay at a hotel near a PATH station.

Thanks for the answers.

I don't think it's going to be possible to get a hotel in Jersey City in your budget for this complete stay. The most likely scenario is Jersey City on the first and last nites of your stay... then a hotel in Secaucus or Rutherford for the middle nite of your stay (for which all the hotels near PATH trains in the Jersey City area are $250+ per nite). From the Secaucus/Rutherford you would either need to take a bus to the city, drive your car to a PATH train, or if you're lucky enough to get a hotel with free area shuttle service take the hotel shuttle to the Secaucus Junction transfer station and take the train to the city.

Let us know your thoughts if this is feasible and we'll suggest how to best proceed.
