micker Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hi,I am trying to bid on priceline for a resort on kaanapali (maui, hawaii), but my wife does not want the whaler. All the others (sheraton, hyatt, westin) are ok. My dates are 9/7/06 to 9/13/06 (6 nights). I was already rejected at $165 and got an offer to raise my bid by $25.I know others have asked about bidding on fewer nights to minimize the chance of whaler since it is a condo. What do you recommend? what is my next step? Thanks.
thereuare Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 The Whaler has never been reported as won thru the "name your own price" version of priceline... but of course you could be the first to report a win for this property. Apparently you're willing to take the risk of receiving any property (including the Whaler) at the Resort level in this zone since you've already tried bidding on Priceline? I don't believe that bidding fewer nites will decrease your chances of receiving a condo property.Let us know if you are indeed able to accept the risks of an opaque purchase and your maximum bid... we will then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
