lan3030
Once again I used the link from SavingsBarn.com, looking for a 2.5* or higher in Northwest Detroit. Based on past experience I assumed I would end up with this hotel again, which is indeed what happened. Bids were for a 2.5* hotel for 8/24/06 only.Started at $35, Livonia only - rejected, counteroffer of additional $9 was suggestedIncreased to $36, Livonia + Canton (nothing higher than 2*) - offer accepted!Based on this, it seems like a pretty bad deal to accept the counteroffer!Your Offer Price: $36.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 1Subtotal: $36.00Taxes & Service Fees: $11.40Total Charges: $47.40The Hotwire price at time of bidding for the same hotel was $49/night ($60.38/night with fees/taxes). The lowest price on the AmeriSuites website is $107/night plus taxes with AAA/AARP discount. Link to comment
