Jasmine Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 Amenities are: Comp. Breakfast, Pool, Fitness and Laundry.HW is showing it at $107 for Aug. 28-Sept. 1. I thought it might be the Residence Inn in MB but as far as I know, they don't have laundry facilities.
Jasmine Posted August 20, 2006 Author Report Posted August 20, 2006 Thanks for the quick reply! I've stayed there before but never knew they had washers and dryers (and didn't see anything on their site either).

Jasmine Posted August 21, 2006 Author Report Posted August 21, 2006 Well I didn't want to take the risk of getting something other than the Residence Inn at $107 for 4 nights so I got something cheaper for those nights in Long Beach through PL (I'll make a post right now).Thanks.
Jasmine Posted August 21, 2006 Author Report Posted August 21, 2006 After not having any luck with my preferred LA and OC zones, I gave Long Beach a try. I had tried going as high as $60 (2.5*) in the Long Beach, Torrance-Carson and Airport zones to no avail. Then I split my bid (started with first two nights) and bid $45 for the Airport. I was prompted to increase my bid by $13. Instead I decided to add additional zones and bump up my bid slowly. I never had any intention of adding San Pedro as I had read some pretty bad reviews for The Marina hotel but it was late and I was tired and I somehow checked it, bid $50 and won. :)Happily though the former Marina hotel has been rebranded a Doubletree and $8.5 million in renovations were scheduled to be completed August 1, 2006. The pictures look promising - hopefully they did in fact renovate every single room otherwise I may get stuck in a "PL room"! I will do a full review when I get back.Oh I was able to add two additional nights for the same price. As I had never bid in this zone, perhaps I could have done better than $50 but at this point I'm just happy to have found a convenient location with free parking for a good price. I believe the cheapest rate through Hilton is $116.All of my bidding was started at SavingsBarn.
