rc408 Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 2 1/2*1st bid $37 (North-Fishers) Countered with an offer to add $10 to my bid- Refused2nd bid $38 (Speedway)- RejectedI've been bidding up from $34 using the same method above (All rejected).I have a room for 2 nights that same weekend that I won for $34 per night. It seems that they want more money if you are only staying one night. I'll keep trying.

rc408 Posted August 20, 2006 Author Report Posted August 20, 2006 More 2 1/2* bidding:$41 1st bid (North-Fishers)- Accepted :) Amerisuites of Indianapolis (At Keystone Crossing)Your Offer Price: $41.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 1Subtotal: $41.00Taxes & Service Fees:$13.49Total Charges*: $54.49Used Savings barn.I am curious to know if Priceline hotels can specify different prices for different lengths of stay. I won this same hotel for the same day (2 night stay- see prior post) for $35 each night. Now that I was bidding for one night only it cost me $41. Could it be that there were no lower priced rooms available or is it that multiple night can get a better rate?I'm definitely not complaining about the cost for either one, I am just curious.
thereuare Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 Rates thru their website are the same for each of your stays, but here are a few possible scenarios:-different rates for multiple nite stays-lower rate for one nite of the two-nite stay, thus bringing down the average nite of the two-nite stay-opaque rates changed in the last 4 days...any of the above are plausibleThanks for using the SavingsBarn.com links. As you say, rate for both stays look pretty good :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
