need a room for one night 10/14 - 10/15/06.

Tried the strip and west of strip but couldn't get 4* for $130 (went from 60 all the way to 130).

No success with 3* at $60 either. Any suggestion?

Thanks!

We've already had our hotel booked with the Bellagio from 10/15 - 10/18 through our registration for a conference, but we don't want to spend too much for that Sat 10/14. Should we ask the Bellagio for that one extra night? It is quite expensive on their web site, though (499/night). Any advice? Thanks much!

Currently you're going to have to up your limit or stay off-strip... not sure which you prefer.

You could book the Aladdin for $217/nite and then walk across the street to the Bellagio the next day. This is cancellable within 3 days of your check-in date so it may be a good back-up, if you're willing to go that high, while you continue to monitor rates for any price drop(s)... or you can try looking off-strip.

It turned out that the organizer for our conference had a deal with the hotel for the friday and saturday of that weekend for the same price ($239/night). And the hotel peopel didn't bother to tell us that. Anyways, we got the room :)
