Silverain54 Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 I just booked the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in downtown Toronto for $60 US (08/18-08/19). Here were my steps:1. $50 4* Downtown2. $55 4* Downtown and Pickering3. $60 4* 3.5* Downtown and PickeringOffer accepted and I added a second night for $76 US (Fri & Sat). I needed a second room for just for the Saturday and tried my luck and bid $60 for 3.5* Downtown and luckily recieved the Marriott Renaissance again. This is the hotel that is attached to the Rogers Center (formerly SkyDome). I think this was a great deal and the Marriott site lists the cheapest room at $289 CDN.
thereuare Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no 3.5* bidding with Priceline so i've edited your topic title to reflect a 3* property, please let us know if this is incorect. Thanks for the post... enjoy your stay. Silverain54 Posted August 13, 2006 Author Report Posted August 13, 2006 No you are correct! I don't know why I was thinking 3.5*... I indeed chose a 3* after bidding on a 4* and the Renaissance Hotel was listed as a 3*. Thanks for correcting my post. Also I booked on priceline through the link at www.savingsbarn.com.
