louisd Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 I will be attending a convention in Vegas from 11/4-11/9. The convention is actually taking place at the Venetian so they have secured a $200/night rate there. Anyone think there's a chance of doing better through some other source (Priceline?) for the Venetian? Thanks.
photomikey Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Looks like the rate off VenetianHotel.com is $279/night for those nights. I suspect it's possible to do better than $200 / night, but not by much. The absolute lowest rate for a 5* in that zone is $99, but is seldom seen. I'd start at $120 and go in $10 increments. Remember, PL will add taxes and fees, so take that into consideration when you're bidding.I suspect you'll get it in the $150-$180 range, saving a few bucks each night.Thereuare will probably chime in tomorrow, and his insight is probably better than mine. :-)Best of luck.
thereuare Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 If the $200/nite rate is available for each nite of your stay (and that's not an average nitely rate) then you can probably bo better for 2-3 nites of your stay, but i'm doubtful you'll be able to beat it if you're only bidding for the complete stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
louisd Posted August 15, 2006 Author Report Posted August 15, 2006 The $199 rate is for each not, not an average... I tried Priceline with a first bid at $120 just for the Sunday and Monday nights and it came back with a sorry, but we can get it for you at $188. I let it go as I'll just use the conference rate instead!
greerx4 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Do you mind my asking what convention you are going for? Just curious. We will be there at the same time at the Venetian for a convention for the American Staffing Association. :)
louisd Posted August 16, 2006 Author Report Posted August 16, 2006 It is the ITIM Infrastructure Management Conference.
