jasonpicken Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 i've searched for sept. 18-20 and have a 3* hotel listed as a best value come up. it has these features:shuttle/fitness/restaurant/business/laundry/internet-it's priced at $52. any ideas? thanks.
thereuare Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 This hotel has not yet been identified, but if i were to take a guess i'd think the Best Western Grovenor and the Holiday Inn Express would be likely candidates. Please use this HOTWIRE link for any purhcases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. The HI Express does not have a restaurant. My guess is this is the regular Holiday Inn.
thereuare Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Of course you're right, never considered that the "Kids Eat Free" on the splash page would show if all they served was a complimentary breakfast. :) I think the Laundry icon is the most frequent incorrect icon throughout the HOTWIRE system. Many hotels just look at it as "laundry" and check it off as they offer dry cleaning services, but in reality it is for self laundry machines.I forget the hotel but just last nite we accurately identified a hotel for a user... although i know they don't offer self laundry (as shown on the HOTWIRE amenity list) because while researching it i called the hotel and asked. Thanks for correcting the above. jasonpicken Posted August 11, 2006 Author Report Posted August 11, 2006 thanks for everyone's help but i went with priceline instead. i believe i got the same hotel as described on hotwire for $45/night instead of $52.i tried every combination to add a 4* in the downtown area from $65-$75, rejected. i added the airport and lowered my price to $57, rejected. i then tried 3* and lowered my price to $40, rejected. i added south san francisco and upped my bid to $45. won the 3* holiday inn sfo intl. airport. used savingsbarn. i have recently booked quite a few hotels in california for a trip i'm taking, this is the last one. i just wanted to thank the powers that be for this site, it was an amazing help!
