Chiliweenie Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 On a recent trip to San Francisco (Aug 3), I booked a 4 star (at the time the reservation was made) hotel on hotwire.com for a good deal of $104/night. Upon arrival, at the hotel, the receptionist informed me that Holiday Inn ONLY gives out smoking rooms to hotwire bookings. I was shocked. Holiday Inn offered me a non-smoking room for $90 more. No where on the hotwire website does it mention that smoking rooms are included in the alotment of rooms up for grab. Hotwire only said in an email that it leaves the type of room up to the hotel, regardless of health risks. :)Room Service / High Speed Internet / in Room Coffee Service / Gym / Concierge (trips and tours)/ airport shuttle service ($15/person).
thereuare Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Can you please add the dates of your stay and the amenities shown before your purchase as a reply to this thread. You can still view all of this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. Also, are you sure you selected a 4* property? I believe Hotwire rates this property 3 stars so i've edited your topic title accordingly. Please confirm.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
