I tried for a 4* hotel in cambridge & boston for $81 without success, making it 3* hotel for $82 was successful at the hyatt regency cambridge. This is for a Sunday night.

Rates are high for this nite so not sure how much lower you could have gotten it, but it's often recommended to Lower Your Bid If You Lower Your Star Quality.

This is still well under half price for this stay so a great deal, but feel free to ask for help before bidding for your next stay.
