Priceline Hotel: 3* Newark (Jersey City) Hyatt Regency on the Hudson

I wanted to add (at least) the Thursday 24th August to our weekend 25th-27th stay at the Hyatt, I don't think I'll ever get the 22nd or 23rd.

Hyatt web-site rates still as before with Thursday showing at $229, Tuesday and Wednesday still high at $389.00 $279.00

Checked Hotwire today 5th August and it shows the Hyatt at $94 for the Thursday 24th August with Tuesday and Wednesday still high at over $250+

Bid $60 (always hopefull :) ) for a 3* in Newark, this was countered with "Add $17 and it's yours"

Declined this :) and added Elizabeth and upped the bid to $65.

And as I thought, Bingo! (what, no "smug look" icon ?).

Have now got three nights here, unless Tuesday\Wednesday rates plummet I think that's all I'll get for our 5 night stay in New York.
