a330marcus Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 Staying in New Orleans on 12/22 for one night. Saw a 4* Downtown area listing available with the following:GymPoolRestaurantsBusiness CenterHighSpeedGolfPrice: $77Does the inclusion of Golf signal it is the W New Orleans? (info from previous posts). Preferable looking for a hotel within walking distance to the Convention Center. If I want to try to get a lower price, how much lower should I go on priceline? I tried $55 and I was rejected. Thanks!PS - This is my first-time post -- great site!!
thereuare Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 It's not the inclusion of a Golf icon that leads us to guess this is the W, it's that all the amenities make this an exact match for the W Hotel in the Hotwire Hotel List.If you only made the one bid at $55 you can bid again as follows:You have four re-bid zones available when bidding 4* in New Orleans. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Downtown and re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75.If the above is rejected you can take the HOTWIRE offer.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. a330marcus Posted August 10, 2006 Author Report Posted August 10, 2006 An update -- we bidded for 2 rooms and it was indeed the W on Poydras Street. Priceline did not approve of anything below $70... so we just ended up using hotwire. Think they will take my SPG number there?
