Bid $105 was rejected...counter at $189Bid $115 was rejected...counter at $189Bid $125 was rejected...counter at $189should I just accept $189 per night or do you have better suggestion?thanks
madfun Posted August 3, 2006 Author Report Posted August 3, 2006 by the way, how can I re-bid? I want to stay in a 5* hotel like Venetian? Can I add a zone and raise the price? which zone should I add? Thanks!
thereuare Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 See this thread and ask any question you have and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedIt shouldn't take $189, but are you willing to go that high? madfun Posted August 4, 2006 Author Report Posted August 4, 2006 I certainly don't want to go that high. I tried this afternoon. I tried $139 per night, still failed. Is there anyone who recently wins around 8/10 - 8/13/
thereuare Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 What is your maximum bid? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
madfun Posted August 4, 2006 Author Report Posted August 4, 2006 My maximum bid is about $150 per night.
thereuare Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Bid up to your maximum on your next round of bidding (gradually increasing with each re-bid) as i'm doubtful $150 will be enough based upon current prices.I'm assuming you know how to use your re-bid zones, but if not and you need a more specific strategy, just let us know.Good Luck. Jnet55 Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I'm curious, madfun, as to the outcome of your bidding on this one?
madfun Posted August 6, 2006 Author Report Posted August 6, 2006 I tried again. My highest bid was $160 and still couldn't get it. So I gave up. Maybe 8/11 is Friday night. I found a good deal at mirage's official website. 8/10 for $103 and 8/11 for $139...
Newbie2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 I think Caesars Palace got 140/night promote on that weekend as I checked previously (about 1-2 weeks ago) with the free upgrade to the Palace tower. Maybe that's a better deal than staying @ Venetian's.
madfun Posted August 6, 2006 Author Report Posted August 6, 2006 Thanks for the Caesars Palace info. I just checked the website, and found that the classic guest room...Thu 08/10/2006 $120.00 Fri 08/11/2006 $360.00
