Started out trying for a 3* at $40. Used 3 free rebids up to $50 with no luck. Decided to shoot for a 2.5* instead. Started with $40 and got a counter-offer for $12 more. Opened new browser, added Speedway zone for my only free rebid and upped my offer to $45. After looking at the Marriott website, I see this hotel is being renovated until October. Not thrilled to see that, but it's only one night and they do have the nicer Marriott beds already (and it's really just a place to crash for the night after meeting a friend for dinner. Hotel is just 4 miles from the restaurant we're going to, so my zone choice was a good one.) Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this win - best rate on Marriott.com was $94 with AAA discount. Used the Savings Barn link, too. I'm getting better at remembering to do that!

I have a friend in this area too which i'm hoping to visit sometime this year. Waiting for an airfare sale and some free time... not sure if either will come :)
