Happybid
I have been bidding the Chicago Downtown area (Millinieum park, North Shore, Greater Chicago) for several days and yesterday I offered $100 before taxes for 1 star and still failed. Anyone have an idea how high is that now? I would like to stay in the city because want to take public transportation only. Thanks for any comments. For example, if you know a suburban area's hotel/motel that is close enough for me to walk to the train or bus station, that will be great! Link to comment
bomborivera
Quite a bit going on in Chicago this weekend. Lollapalooza is going on at Grant Park and Tall Ships is also there. Might want to try looking at booking a room through HOTWIRE or through a hotel website(to make sure you have a room). Link to comment
AaronJB
You will not find a room downtown for less than $250 for 8/5. A suggestion: stay at the Marriott in Deerfield - 800 Lake Cook Road. $89 a room on Marriott.com and it's down the street from a train station (601 Lake Cook). Very nice, upscale neighborhood and it's a 45 minute Metra train ride downtown. There's also restaurants and a pair of malls right there, as well. Link to comment
