1st bid $40 won La Quinta Resort and Club

I bid again for another room for a friend of mine so we have 2 rooms for that weekend.

Rooms are currently going for $400+ per night for this time of year.

Just a comment for others, this property is not run by La Quinta chain but rather by the Hilton family of hotels.

I booked similar days. Flyertalk posters have had success thru June. I don't know what the first available days are. If you can commit to ANY days in Palm Springs, bid NOW. This is obviously a mistake -- like my X-mas win at the Boca Marriott. It will be pulled as soon as they figure it out.

FWIW, the La Quinta is one of my favorite hotels in the world. It's a great historic, low key desert property -- you'll feel like a '50s movie star staying there. Haven't been in a few years -- it's been too expensive!!

Just got this for $25 ... Feb 15-18 2007!!

Bid for a 3-star and got upgraded.

Tried for another room ... this time 2-star at $17 and got rejected.

Now, trying $20 ....... rejected.
