MKCriswell Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 A friend going on the same trip unsuccessfully bid at $110 for Downtown Vancouver for 4* and again unsuccessful for 3* hotels. I bid $131 and picked up the Marriott, 3 days in advance, staying Friday-Sunday July 28-30. The Marriott staff told me at check-in that the hotel was overbooked, which may be why people on these Forums are saying their bids are not being accepted at some of the previous lower rates, if other hotels are equally well booked. But then I wonder why they picked up my bid at $131 (which is about half the "regular" rate for that room).
