Bid made on July 18th.

Dates of stay: 8/3 check in, 8/4 check out

Price paid: $60 for room, $14.96 taxes & fees, total price $74.96

Bid history: $50 ( first bid) rejected and offered that I can bid again if I add 14 dollars

I made my second bid separately because I was not willing to add 14 dollars.

$60 ( second bid) accepted for the Marriott Orlando Airport Hotel.

I did not use Savingsbarn.com because I was not aware of it. I will use it next time :o

I was hoping for the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport Hotel. That was also why I made a bid for $60.

I think the Marriott Orlando Airport is fine too. I just wonder that maybe I should have started my bid

lower like at $30 or $35. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Select Orlando Airport Hotel before once ( not through priceline) and I wanted to stay at a different hotel this time, and was afraid that I would get the Holiday Inn Select if I started my bid at $30. Although the Holiday Inn was fine, I wanted to stay at a different hotel to see what other hotels in the area are like. :)

I checked the hotwire section for Florida after I made my purchase at Priceline and saw that a member of this board had got the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport Hotel for $78 plus tax through Hotwire.

With the tax I think it comes out to about $92 dollars. A bit more than I want to pay for my hotel stay.

So, I guess I am okay with this purchase through Priceline. I also read that there is a parking fee for the Hyatt, and the Marriott has complimentary parking. But its true that the reviews on tripadvisor.com for the Hyatt Regency at Orlando Airport were really high and most said they loved it there. Maybe I will try to get a room there next time on Hotwire if a similar rate is available for the Hyatt :)

Since your $50 bid failed then $30 or $35 wouldn't have been successful either.

Welcome to BetterBidding and thank you for sharing your win with the board.

Thank you thereuare for a warm welcome :)

It's nice to know that $30 or $35 bid would have failed anyway if a $50 bid failed.

I didn't realize it worked that way.

The above bid was my first bidding on travel experience, and it was a lot of fun.

I find betterbidding.com very useful and also a lot of fun just to read the posts :)
