I'm looking for a good price on a hotel (any * level)...
I stayed at an EconoLodge in Williamsburg a few years ago that was such a dive I was afraid to fall asleep at night. I'm a little nervous about ending up somewhere like that again.

It doesn't sound as if any star level is really acceptable... what is the minimum star level you want to try for?

I think you should start by doing a bit of research first and try to find out your best deal outside of the opaque providers. This will give you a realistic view of rates for this time period and will help you determine your maximum bid and minimum star rating based upon the 'next best alternatives'.

Use our BetterChecker for an easy way to search multiple sites for rates.
