Chris L. in New York
I'm looking for a good price on a hotel (any * level) for the Yorktown/Williamsburg/Newport News area for the week of October 14th through October 22nd, 2006. This may be a futile task as we're going down for the big Yorktown reenactment and there will be hundreds of others looking for the same kind of lodging. Thanks for any help or advice. Link to comment

Chris L. in New York
No back-up reservation yet as we really started looking late in the game. We would like to find something for under $50/night that's not too cheesy. I stayed at an EconoLodge in Williamsburg a few years ago that was such a dive I was afraid to fall asleep at night. I'm a little nervous about ending up somewhere like that again. Link to comment

This will give you a realistic view of rates for this time period and will help you determine your maximum bid and minimum star rating based upon the 'next best alternatives'.
