mlaurence Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Although I was hoping for a higher-starred hotel, my bids in the 60's were rejected in Montreal. I tried extending to Longueuil and Laval, bidding up to $73 for 4 stars, with no luck. For 2.5 stars I dropped into the mid 50's, but more rejection. Finally I lowballed this $49 offer for a 2 star hotel in downtown Montreal, and was somewhat surprised to get accepted. The Quality Hotel website looks promising, with a nice avenue du Parc location. Free high-speed internet. It looks about a block away from Place des Arts Metro station. Orbitz lists the rate for these dates as $116 per night.Total Priceline charges came to $122.93US for two nights including $24.93 in taxes and fees. This is my first hotel posting, hope it was helpful. I do find BetterBidding to be quite useful. Thanks!
