dragonman64
This is the first time that I used Hotwire (and also my first post in this forum), and while I expected to make bids for hotels in the Metro Detroit area for our trip in October, we were immediately offered the rate of US$60/night. We are a family of 3 adults and this is the reason why we used hotwire instead of priceline where our triple room sharing might not be guaranteed.Should I be happy with this 'best value' rate given us? I'd like to think that - regardless of whatever negative things I have read from (mostly) businessmen who stayed - it is a good deal as compared to what is directly being offered to us by two other hotels (USD88-up) of lower star rating. We took the offer shortly after our friend in Detroit Highland Park gave her approval. Is this the usual Hotwire rate for Westin Southfield? :) Link to comment
dragonman64
I forgot to add in my above post that the amenities for Westin Southfield are: Fitness Center, Restaurants, High-Speed Internet Access, Tennis nearby, Pools, Business Center, Golf nearby. :) Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for sharing your results with the board.Rates are date specific (based upon occupancy levels at the hotel), so there is not a 'usual hotwire' rate for any property. Just as rates directly from a hotel fluctuate from date to date, so does the HOTWIRE rate. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
