Priceline Hotel: 4* Austin (Downtown) Omin Downtown

On 7/6 I bid $79 for 4* downtown Austin for 7/9-7/11 and didn't check betterbidding first (mistake!), or might have tried $72, but $79 seemed low vs. $209-229 for downtown 4stars on their sites, got on first bid (paid 33.07 in fees for the two nights). Unexpectedly have to return to Austin, so on 7/13 bid $69 for 7/16-7/18, trying to shave a bit off, again not checking here, and got rejected. Had to settle for +17 instant offer (was not going to have easy computer access for two days), so ended up paying 86/night plus about 18 dollars in fees per night. A lesson learned--check here first and be sure to let others learn from your mistakes! btw--this is a very nice hotel, nicely kept and very friendly.
