Any advice for bidding 3 or 4* downtown Portland for 7/21, one night?

Do you have a maximum bid in mind?

Do you want the cheapest 3* or 4* possible... or is a 4* worth more to you than a 3* and you're willing to pay a bit more for it?

A 4 star would be worth more to me than a 3 star for Downtown Portland. My max for a 4 star would be $68 and for a 3 star $60. I would also consider a 2.5 start with a max of $45.

I have bid unsuccessfully today as follows:

3* @ $42 Downtown Portland / rejected

3/4* @ $58 " / rejected

2.5/3* @ $42 " / rejected

Do I understand correctly that the waiting period to rebid without changing other parameters is now 24 hrs?

Would welcome any advice, strategy other info.

So you've already bid within $10 of your maximum bid for a 4*, within $2 of your maximum for a 3*, and within $2 of a 2.5*... where and how much is your back-up?

For a 4* during the summer, you can expect to pay up to $90 a night. What are the 4* charging for this date?
