Tried for a few days at $165, finally got the Sheraton Waikiki

Yes, this was the first bid of the day. Waikiki North zone only

Over the previous few days I worked my way up to $165, all rejected. (even added Waikiki South)

Kept bidding $165 everyday and it was finally accepted

$165? Did you check the Sheraton website directly? The same dates are showing for $140--and they have been for several weeks now because I've been looking for a deal around the same dates.

The $140 rate is for an Annex room... and although the front page was showing that $140 rate when this was posted yestery, when clicking "book now" the best rate was $209.

Hmmm. Then what's to say that the Priceline reservation isn't for an annex room? Accommodations and services are the same.

The point is that the $140 rate wasn't actually bookable for these dates when this bid was won (because i checked :) ).
