threeboysmom Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 I'm trying to pin down a certain hotel on Hotwire. There is a 3* listed under Universal area with amenities of restaurant, pool, & fitness for $41 for 1/2-1/7. I'm thinking it is the Holiday Inn Orlando? This hotel shows up under the "package section", but with an additional amenity - laundry. Either they left it off purposely on the "hotel only" section, or there is another hotel that I'm not aware of?? Anybody know? Thanks!Kimberly
thereuare Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 It's certainly possible that this is the Holiday Inn, but odds favor it being a different hotel.Unfortunately, the icons are just too generic to differentiate it from all the other properties in the area. Of course if you select it, we'll all know for the future what this property is, but i'd be somewhat reluctant for a 5 nite stay. The DoubleTree Club seems to be offered for your dates and is somewhat similarly priced... how would that work for your plans? threeboysmom Posted November 20, 2003 Author Report Posted November 20, 2003 Is the Doubletree Club the one listed without a pool as an amenity? I saw that listing, but it made me nervous without having a pool mentioned.
thereuare Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Since different hotels can come up on each of our searches, i would suggest you compare the star rating and all the amenities shown in your search to the Florida Hotwire Hotels List. threeboysmom Posted November 24, 2003 Author Report Posted November 24, 2003 I went ahead & used the above link just now for Hotwire. I received the Doubletree Club Orlando for $49 for 1/1-1/3. Amenities were: Restaurant, Fitness, Business, and Laundry. Not sure why they leave the Pool icon off since they definately have a pool (whew!). I am pleased and will use Hotwire again in the future.
thereuare Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Thanks for following up your post.To confirm, is this 3.5* and in the WDW zone?THANKS! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
threeboysmom Posted November 28, 2003 Author Report Posted November 28, 2003 I'm sorry - yes, the Doubletree Club was a 3.5* in the WDW area. Thanks for all your help!! :)
