cruisinmike Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 I think I might have set my price too high at 65 bucks ..got it on the first shot....but saw prev post said they have it for 60 so i'm not too dissapointed....
thereuare Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board.May be a few dollars more than the lowest, but a fantastic rate for this property... still enough money left over for cheesesteaks!Have a great stay. cruisinmike Posted July 9, 2006 Author Report Posted July 9, 2006 Yeah I can't really complain when the room rate is over 200 bucks!!!! the wifey saw pics of the hotel and she's happy....and i'll spend some of the savings on cheesesteaks (how did you know?...you must have ESP :) ) & beer!!!
njg Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Well, I'm envious because I bid up to $115 & was still rejected for 7/31 & 8/1. :)
cruisinmike Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 I was able to wait til the very last minute to bid (sat nite for sun). If you're able to do the same you might have better success...(unless there's something going on those days) either way good luck!!!Btw we had a nice stay...nice size room with views of the ben franklin bridge, the water and some of city center. Side note: we avoided the $18 overnight parking by parking at a meter (after 10 pm it's free until 8am it's a quarter for 15minutes) across the street off columbus blvd. We left the hotel before 8am.
