Priceline Hotel: 4* in Santa Monica??

I went to price in Santa Monica for a 4 star but this was not an option? What happened to the Santa Monica Beach Hotel and Sheraton Delfina? Am I reading this correctly?

There is currently no 4* bidding offered in this area. Hotel(s) could have been downgraded or no longer participating with Priceline.

I ended up staying at friends. Did not use Priceline.
