setcarp Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 I forgot to write a review of the place. Here it goes. The place is wonderful. A meduim walk to Navy Pier, a few blocks from Michigan St. The rooms were new and very nice with wonderful views. They were re-doing the hotle guide when I was there, so I can not comment on what ammenities they had outside the room. The one downside is that parking is expensive. $36 if you park at the hotel. I checked in and then parked at the Grant Park garage for the night which I think was $22 max and then moved to the garage right down hill from the hotel at the early bird rate of $14, making the total $36 for two days instead of one.
TheBestMan Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Hotel was great, I hadn't stayed there before. Nice Irish pub on river had a "halfway to St Patrick's Day" thing going on, the weather was perfect.Only minor complaints were from the time we checked in (around 4pm) to the time we got back from a wedding (1am), there were room service dishes flanking our door, sort of odd. Parking was $42, reasonable for the area.We only had time to eat at Shula's on Saturday breakfast. We were there around 8am, and it was busy with tons of suits - odd for a Saturday. The buffet was fairly good.
dolemite Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Really enjoyed our stay -- the staff was great! I inquired about purchasing an upgrade to the Club Level, which includes access to a club lounge, free internet, business center, daily snacks, bottled water and morning breakfast. $50 did it, and I think it was well worth it.
