Hotwire Hotel: 4* Miami (South Beach) National Hotel

I am looking for a 4* in South Beach between June 29-July 4th. If I do it for the full time, I am getting a price for $223. If I only search for June 29-July1, I get $132. The results show: Beach Front, Pool(s), High Speed Internet, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s).Which hotel do you think is this? Thanks.

I waited till there were few days left and reserved the first two nights only (did them seperately). I got my first night at "The National" for $65 and the second night for $172. Third night was showing $310, so I actually checked out and stayed at another hotel. That evening, "The National" reduced its Hotwire prices for the next two nights to $141. After staying at the other hotel for 1 night, I checked out of next morning and went back to "The National".

Most people may not want to do what I did (check-out then back in), but the hotel was great. I stayed at a lot of resorts before; in my opinion The National has the nicest pool I have ever been in. They have a pool that is 225' long that is covered with Palm trees over the whole length. Since people can not lay around it, it is incredibly quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel. I will be going back some time in October-November.

I'm also not clear if this was priceline or hotwire. If hotwire can you also add the amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view these by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

I made the reservations throught Hotwire. I requested a 4* hotel and the ameneties shown were: Beachfront, Fitnes Center, Pool(s), Restaturants, High-Speed Internet Access. On the forum's Hotwire Hotels list, this is the only hotel with this information therefore I was pretty sure I was going to get this hotel.

The reserved dates and prices were:

07/02/06 - 07/04/06 - $62

06/30/06 - 07/01/06 - $146

06/29/06 - 06/30/06 - $179 x 2 nights
