chunterk Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 I put a bid in for $100/night for July 9-12 in the city center & museum quarter section of Amsterdam (4 star). Priceline offered me a hotel for $134/night. I took the hotel and it was the Victoria Hotel. It looks like a nice hotel and I am happy with it. However the hotel website had the exact same rate on their website. So I saved $0 by going with Priceline! Also the same thing happened with a hotel I bid for in London. I put in for $100/night 4* and they offered $134/night. I got a Park Plaza Hotel (Riverbank Park Plaza) but the internet rate was the same as the priceline rate. So why do I need priceline if I can go to the www.parkplaza.com hotel website!
thereuare Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Just as with your other PRICELINE post, i'm finding rates different then you quote above... the savings on this weren't large (because as i mention in the other thread you need to educate yourself before bidding), but they were not $0 as you claim. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
