brucebowe2 Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Hi.I guess I wasn't too smart on this one. Not where I was hoping for, and I guess paid a little too much for it. Now that there is a fire, I'm really convinced that this wasn't the best way to handle it. Last visit there was Poco Diablo through Priceline for about $55 and it was a really good deal, but couldn't make it happen this time. Panicked and did this. We'll see what happens and I'll report back after the trip. BTW, I tried to get some flexibility from Hotwire on this because of the fire and was treated very poorly by their cust. svc people. That was not consistent with what I had seen the one time I complained about a mis-rated hotel in Irvine, CA where they gladly gave me a night's credit.. Maybe they have me marked now as a high maintenance customer..
thereuare Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Can you please add the date(s) of your stay and the amenities shown before your purchase... both are still viewable by going to Hotwire and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link on the top right of their home page. Thanks! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
brucebowe2 Posted June 21, 2006 Author Report Posted June 21, 2006 Whoops.. I did get my money back from Hotwire, but it took some doing.dates were 6/26 for 5 nights @ $71 plus tax per night .. It's a 3 star and amenities listed are:Restaurant(s)Golf nearbyPool(s)The res person I talked to (Laurie) was extremely gracious and helpful and, frankly, without her help I probably would be still paying for this and not showing up -- because of the closure of Oak Creek Canyon and all the hiking trails in the Sedona area..Bruce
