flipside Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Hi,I'm trying to put together a bidding strategy for "the venetian" from 8/2-9. I've been trying up to 140 with no luck. It appears my problem nights are Wednesday 8/2, definitely Thursday 8/3 and maybe Friday 8/4 coming it at $300, $349, and $300 respectively on Expedia. The following nights come in at $200 for Saturday 8/5 and then $169 for 8/6-8/9.My $140 bid was countered with $211, so when added up comes out the same as booking on Expedia.Max bid would be $170. I'm also willing to split the bids. Although I'm hesitant because I can get the Wynn on AAvacations.com for $224 a night and not have to worry about the check in check out, or even the slight possibility that we might have to switch hotels. 12 free re-bids between mine an my fiances accounts.Suggestions welcome :)
thereuare Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 To book the The Wynn thru AA you also need to make your airfare purchase thru them and book it as a package (hotel-only doesn't appear to be an option)... do you need airfare to Vegas and willing to purchase it as a package? flipside Posted June 19, 2006 Author Report Posted June 19, 2006 Yes, I need airfare too, and want it on AA so I can upgrade.Willing to book as a package.
thereuare Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Thru EasyClickTravel you can book The Wynn for an average of $214/nite.Based upon current rates I'm doubtful you'll get the Venetian within your budget, so it comes down to taking the above at $214/nite or splitting your stay. I would make that decision first... then if you want to split you can see if you can get the Venetian for any of your nites and "fill in" with The Wynn.Let us know your thoughts.
