506canuck Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 Bid $75 and Priceline countered with $22 increase. Added free re-bid and increased to $75 and accepted at Intercontinental Montreal. Interestingly I stayed at the 4* Boneventure Hilton last summer and paid $91 for that stay. Taxes and priceline fee were $18.68. This year the bid/cost is $16 less and the taxes are $2.67 higher so obvoiusly Priceline are taking a bigger cut. Part of the difference can be accounted for in the increase in the Canadian dollar-but not that much.
