rcspick Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 looking for a 5* in the strip area (I assume it would be the venetian) tried bidding last night up to $140; priceline counter offer was $170. Any suggestions? Thanks.
thereuare Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? If not, what is your maximum bid? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rcspick Posted June 15, 2006 Author Report Posted June 15, 2006 I think at $140 I was getting pretty close to my maximum especially since I was only $30 away from the counter offer (maybe I should have taken the counter offer). I have a cancellable MGM Grand reservation already locked in at a good rate, so I may just play around with the bidding to see if anything comes of it. I just haven't stayed at the MGM Grand before and am not very familiar with it.
thereuare Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 The advantage of splitting your bid is that you could probably get a great rate at the Venetian for some of the nites... then stay at the MGM Grand for the other nites.
