Eric S Ainsworth Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Hey, this weekend seems incredibly expensive.. any chance the prices will come down. Quotes on the hotel sites are from $289/night to $399.Have used free re-bid stradegy to go as high as $155 over the past 2 days with no luck. Thanks for any extra tips you might have. Will add downtown and go to 3* next I guess..
thereuare Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Regarding whether rates will go down (or up) in the next 3 weeks see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Hotwire has what appears to be the Hotel Marlowe for $190/nite so there is a decent chance you're not too far off the mark for a 4* hotel via Priceline in the Cambridge zone.By the way their business model works, i'd also check out EasyClickTravel which often can have very good rates when hotel rates are inflated due to high demand. If you'd like a more specific strategy for your next round of bidding let us know your maximum bid at each star level and within each zone and we'll advise accordingly.
