Interesting bids, same day (actually 1-2 hrs from cutoff time, now at 11PM)

A group of 3 of us needed a room each.

I first bid on a 3* up to $60/ni for 3 rooms and was declined.

Then I moved on to 2.5* for one room, and was "upgraded" to the illegedly 3* Holiday Inn for $50 on the first try. (Off topic - this HI is really inferior to the Radisson, Hyatt or other 3* properties in the area - should be a 2.5*, but it has a restaurant and bar on premises.....)

Then I bid again for one of my friends, and tried 2.5* for $48, was rejected, so I upped to $50 and accepted at the HI.

Lastly, bid directly on a 3* for $50 and got a room for my other friend.

Bottomline, nogo for a group of 3 rooms, but ok for 3 bids on one room.

Could it be that PL would lose money if we combined the service fees into one bid??

Happy travels.
