asc51
I have been trying to get a hotel room for one night 6/12, preferably in MTW, UCP. MTE is ok. I prefer a 4* but a 3* is ok. I understand the free rebidding zones and have been successful with Priceline before. Posts show successful bids for $120- $130. Over the course of several days I have bid up to 150 for a 4* in any of these zones, and up to $130 for a 3*. Is there something special about this date, or any ideas for success? Link to comment
thereuare
Yes there are many successful bids for a 4* at $150 and under... but there are also many instances of this not being enough. Rates are a function of supply and demand, and while NYC is not like other cities where one convention/event can drastically inflate rates, there is always something going on in NYC, in addition to just 'general business'.Rates are higher for your dates than when we typically see acceptances at the prices you've already bid... what is your maximum bid at each star level? Do you have a back-up reservation anywhere? (if so, where and how much) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
asc51
So far I have bid to $170 for a 3* MTW MTE CP, UW. i am now starting to look for a hotel under 150--comfort inn times square was recommended as being plain but clean. Any other suggestions? Link to comment
thereuare
It depends upon the 'experience' you are seeking vs. staying within your budget... but right now i don't see much within your budget. If you do go with the Comfort Inn please note from our support page that we are an affiliate and it would be appreciated if you used our links for your purchase.
