Thanks for the great info on this site. The clever rebidding process was a revelation to me. This was my first attempt at going through this process.

Started out $61 for 4* White House-Downtown - rejected

Rebid at $65 with Springfield Zone added - rejected

Rebid at $70 with Crystal City Zone added - rejected

Rebid at $79 with Alexandria - Old Town Zone added - accepted

Capital Hilton

1001 16th Street Nw

Washington DC 20036

Total including taxes for 2 nights: $188.69

Won $79 7/1-7/5. This was my worst Priceline experience EVER! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. They have made a science of making Priceline customers feel like they should be in steerage. They would appear to have several zones of the hotel just for Priceline customers. I am a Hilton Honors member, and I did not expect any points, etc. due to my booking on Priceline. But they also would not let me use my standard amenities like free healthclub, etc. because I was a lowly Priceline customer.

Also, be warned. A room for 2 people means ONE queen bed at the Capital Hilton. They do provide an additional pull out sofa bed....but I have never seen anything quite like it, must be custom made. It's about the size of my dad's old Army cot...only not nearly as comfortable.

Danger...stay away from the Capital Hilton!!!
