kevininatlanta Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Midweek. Tried four stars in all areas raising gradually from 60 to to 110 dollars. No Bites. Tried Brand new bid for 3 Star airport at 51. Not accepted. Added 5 to 56, by bidding Cambridge also, which was actually my preferred thinking that Airport would be cheapest. Got Hyatt. Web rate was 205. They gave me a nice room on third floor with a queen bed. My request for a higher floor was declined. Staff very professional and wonderful otherwise. When my girlfriend saw the smaller bed, and phoned down to desk, and asked for a King bed and a view, we were told that an upgrade would be ten dollars. Then had a wonderful view from ninth floor of rowers and others on river and Boston University. Excellent hotel, but generally slightly smaller rooms than some Hyatts, and poor public transport. Very happy with nominal charge for upgraded room. Great hotel otherwise. Six dollars for taxi from metro with bags.
