wunfunbny Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'm trying to bid on a 4* in the downtown Vancouver area (Entertainment or Vanc. West preferred) for Saturday 6/24. I'd like to keep the cost under $120, but may be willing to go a smidge over. I've seen winnings for around this price or even lower within a week or two of my dates, but not this particular weekend (Jazzfest impact?). I used the following bidding strategy but all bids were rejected. Advice on what next? Try again in a few days? Wait closer to the date? Bidding strategy for a 3*? Select 4* Vancouver...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Vancouver and re-bid zone2...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Vancouver and re-bid zone3...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $120.Thanks,Anne
thereuare Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Priceline only had one 'downtown' zone for Vancouver and you're bidding it. Given that you have bid up to your maximum i'm not sure what more we can offer. Your options are basically:1) wait it out and try again2) raise your bid3) lower your star rating Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
