Hi,

I booked the Westin Pasadena on May 2 for Sep 28 thru Oct 3 for $77/night. A week later, my brother booked at $90/night for Sep 29 thru Oct 3. Last night and this morning, 3 other family members booked at $59/night for Sep 29 thru Oct 2!

My bidding started at $50 on April 30. I got the reminder e-mail to bid again on May 2 and bid $60. I got the counteroffer of $77 and put that bid in (Of course now I know to counter the counter after reading posts here!). On May 9, brother started at $60 and didn't get the bid or any counter offer. I don't know what he did from there, but he was instructed to raise $5-$10 at a time and ended up at $90.

Yesterday one family member got a room for the Sunday night (sep 31) for $59 and then today the other three bid right at $59 for their multiple nights.

What happened that the price changed so much and earlier lower bids weren't accepted? The quoted rate on Westin's website when I bid was $179, for when My brother bid it was $189, and yesterday and today the quoted rate was $190.
