mick5434 Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 For the nights of 7/28-8/03 it is 46 dollars a night. They have a Casino Pool and restaurant. Any Ideas on what hotel this might be. Desctription says This midscale establishment offers more than just the basics in style, comfort and customer service
mick5434 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 Also while I am lookin for deals any ideas on a three star for 52 dollars a night for the same nights with the same things only a golf course nearby the description is the same it is on the north strip.
thereuare Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Not sure of the North Strip hotel (Sahara?, Riviera? would be guesses) but the Downtown hotel is a match for the Fitgeralds so that would be our best guess. Is your budget $50? You could book the Golden Nugget for $64/nite, arguably the nicest Downtown hotel there is and i would sooner book that than a 3* on Hotwire. Do think seriously if you want to stay Downtown or not... if you really want to spend most of your time on the 'main' part of the strip the ride from Downtown to the Strip gets old real fast!Have you been to Vegas before? Rates on the strip are fairly reasonable for these dates and you could get something very nice, with a great location, for under $100/nite. If this is more than your budget, would you consider SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mick5434 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 I am trying to keep it below 60 dollars a night but I would be willing to split my stay and I would actually not mind staying on the strip if possible.
thereuare Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 How many times are you willing to split? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mick5434 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 I would prefer not to move more than once during a 6 night trip I found a decent rate at the stratosphere what is your opinion of that hotel.
thereuare Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 It's in the middle of "no man's land". Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
mick5434 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 Ok so what kind of deal do you think I could get for a 2 way split
thereuare Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 It really depends what you're looking for... -have you been to Vegas before-are you there mostly to gamble or a relaxing vacation-do you need a nice pool area-where do you intend on spending most of your timeYour about $20/nite away from staying at 4* hotels... for many the extra $20 per nite is worth it, to others, depending upon the purpose of the stay, it may not be. mick5434 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 Part of the reason I am going to be down there is for a poker tournament for a freeroll into a wsop event. But I would like to play poker mostly and hopefully be somewhere near the central part of the strip. Never been to vegas. Someone was telling me how they heard some hotel that just opened was giving away two free nights prolly in exchange for a couple hours of listening to a timeshare presentation which I would not mind doing for two free nights at a nice place. Any ideas on where I might find something like that so I could maybe stay someplace more centrally located like the tropicana or something the rest of the time.
thereuare Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 You need to focus a bit more on what you really want and what is important to you... a timeshare property isn't going to be centrally located on the strip.Do you want to be near the poker tournament or a lower priced hotel.... everything is a trade-off. If you want a decent hotel on the center of the strip it's going to cost you more than $60/nite (not necessarily a lot more, but more nonetheless). mick5434 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 I might be willing to spend a little more than 60 dollars a night for the strip. I do not need to be near the tournament as it was originally going to be in the golden nugget but now they are not sure and say possibly binions but thats not in stone yet either. I do not mind traveling out to get to the tournament for one night and would like the strip at a somewhat decent location but dont need the best room but also don't want a heep. I did find one thing that made you sit through a presentation for the excaliber but you still have to pay $109 to do it.
thereuare Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 For part of your stay:Bally's for $73/nite? (plus tax)Aladdin for $80/niteFlamingo for $82/niteImperial Palace for $61/niteAny of these appealing? mick5434 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 I might consider doing this presentation thing for 109 dollars and get two nights in tuscany. How much a night would it be then for the Imperial palace to stay from sunday til thursday.
