UncleBad Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Room was a suite, of course, and the hotel seems fairly new, so no real problems with the building. The bathtub had some mildew, but just a few spots. Service was good. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great. Eggs, sausage, juices, coffee, breads, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, cereal, bagels, etc. I would have paid $10 for the buffet each morning. The pool was midsized and clean. Water quality was good as well. All in all, I can't say you can do much better in Lakeland. Thanks for the help from the people on this board.

UncleBad Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 Yes, $55 was the one and only bid. I also failed to mention that we booked 3 rooms. I haven't been to Lakeland in years. I like the direction of the rebuilding of the downtown area. They've made some good decisions and it's clearly headed in the right direction.
